Hi everyone,
I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Ghana for seven days and experience its beauty, culture, and rich artistic traditions firsthand.
For me, this is so much more than a vacation. It’s an opportunity to deepen my understanding of Afrobeats, traditional music and dance, and the cultural roots that continue to inspire so much of the movement and music I love.
As a professional dancer and teaching artist, I believe it’s my responsibility to continually seek the source of my movement, music, and knowledge. Being able to learn, observe, connect, and experience these traditions within Ghana would be incredibly meaningful to me—not only as an artist, but as an educator who hopes to carry that knowledge forward and share it with others.
This trip has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Any contribution, big or small, would help alleviate some of the financial pressure of making this journey possible and bring me one step closer to Ghana.
