My family has been given an incredible opportunity to finally have a place to call our own, but we need help making it happen. We were approved for a home that is offering free rent until October and waived the application fee, making this a chance we don’t want to lose. The only thing standing between us and getting the keys is the $1,649 security deposit.
Right now, my two children and I are living in a single bedroom at my mother-in-law’s home. While we are grateful to have a roof over our heads, sharing one small room is difficult and doesn’t provide the space or stability our children need. We dream of giving them bedrooms of their own, a safe place to play, and a home where we can build memories together.
We are both working hard, saving every dollar we can, and doing everything possible to improve our situation while raising two young children. Even with our best efforts, coming up with the full security deposit on such short notice has been a challenge.
