Hey there,
We wanted to share something very close to our hearts, and it's about our little heart warrior, Lily. Lily is our two-year-old bundle of energy, strength, and love. She's been through so much in her short life, and we couldn't be prouder of her.
When Lily was born, she came into this world with Congenital Heart Defects, and her journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Within the first week of her life, she had not one, not two, but three heart surgeries. Imagine that, three surgeries in just seven days! She spent a total of 44 long days in the CICU, surrounded by beeping machines and the incredible staff who helped her pull through.
Today, she's an energetic, strong-willed, and caring little girl. We're so lucky to have her in our lives. But Lily's fight is not over yet. She needs another heart surgery, and this time it's in Minnesota, quite a distance from our home in Texas.
Here's where things get tricky. Our insurance won't cover the entire cost of the surgery, and we don't have the financial means to cover all the out-of-pocket expenses and travel costs associated with getting to Minnesota. It's a tough spot to be in, especially when all you want is the best for your child.
We often hear "It takes a village," and now is the time to pull through. We need a village.
So, we're reaching out to our extended family, friends, and anyone who can lend a helping hand. We know times are tough, but even the smallest contribution can make a big difference in Lily's life.
Lily is already a fighter, but she shouldn't have to fight this battle alone. Together, as a community, we can come together to support her and give her the chance to grow up, thrive, and continue being the amazing little person she is.
