✨🐐Goat Before You Vote 🐐✨

A Goat Yoga + Sound Bath in Support of Immigrant Protection & Defense

📅 Sunday, March 29th · 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

In uncertain times, joy is not a distraction — it's an act of resistance.

Join us for a morning of goat yoga, sound healing, and genuine community, with all proceeds benefiting CHIRLA — the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights — defending the dignity of immigrant families across California.

Because a healthy democracy depends on neighbors who feel seen, protected, and valued. Come be one of those neighbors.

✨ 🐐 GOAT forward. Let joy rise. Turn fear into fuel. 🐐✨

How Goat Before You Vote Was Born:
The Origin of My Backyard Activism

This event  was born from a very human feeling: the desperate need to do something when the world feels like it's coming apart at the seams.

For a long time, I felt stuck. Paralyzed, marinating in despair. Scrolling through headlines, watching the unrelenting news cycle, feeling the weight of it all pressing down on my heart. I wanted to help. I just didn't know how.

When others showed up to No Kings rallies — thousands of people marching in the streets — I couldn't make myself go. The thought of it overwhelmed me so completely that I wanted to pull the covers over my head and hide.

Maybe you've felt that way too.

So instead of waiting until I felt brave enough or had all the details perfectly planned, I started where I was: in my own backyard, with an idea that really got my goat.

I asked myself — what if other people feel exactly like me? What if there are hundreds of us who want to act, but can't quite find the door in? What if I could build one?

Because here's what I know for certain: thinking about helping others is what helps me.

So I hopped on Instagram one afternoon with a wild n’ wacky, heart-centered idea: goat yoga to save democracy.

By pairing something I love — goat yoga — with a civic mission much bigger than myself, I found my way out of paralysis and into purpose. I wanted to stand for-something rather than just against everything. I wanted to do it in a way that settled my nervous system instead of shredding it.

Together with my friend Michelle Tritten of Hello Critter Care, we created something that felt genuinely us: goat yoga, a sound bath, laughter, movement, and a whole lot of civic intention.

Our first event raised funds and awareness for California's Proposition 50.

This time, we're showing up for our immigrant neighbors.

Our democracy depends on neighbors who feel seen, protected, and valued.

What to Expect

Yes, there will be goats. 🐐

Yes, there will be movement, music, and probably some bleating at the wrong moment.

But beneath the joy is something serious: a commitment to stay engaged, stay connected, and stay human — especially when the world makes it hard.

Come stretch your body. Open your heart. Stand with your neighbors.

When the world feels uncertain, it's tempting to retreat. We choose to gather.
