As educators, we have dedicated our lives to shaping young minds.
We push to inspire our students to work hard, dream big, and never give up.
Now, we find ourselves living that very lesson as we fight for our own dream—becoming parents.
Due to a medical condition, pregnancy would be life-threatening for both mom and baby. After years of heartbreak and exploring every possible option, surrogacy has become our best hope to finally welcome a child into our lives. We embarked on this new journey by starting with IVF. Through the miracle of science we were able to create 2 healthy embryos!
While this path fills us with hope, it also comes with significant financial challenges. The total cost of surrogacy can range from $150,000 to $200,000. This includes agency fees, legal expenses for both parties, surrogate health insurance premiums, out of pocket medical procedures for both parties, compensation for the surrogate, and more.
As intended parents we have done everything we can to make this dream a reality on our own—cutting expenses, taking out loans, applying for grants, and saving every penny possible while budgeting for potential unforeseen medical complications.
