We have had a very rough time since summer of 2025. My husband was in a car accident that unfortunately resulted in fatalities. No it was not drug or alcohol related just a very unfortunate accident. However, he got jail time. So we went from a 2 income household to me basically being a single parent of 4 kids. Our 12 year old has Cyclical vomiting syndrome, asthma and due to that he has a poor immune system. We have been to the hospital several times since he went back to public school and now they are looking to transfer him to Denver or somewhere else. I am not one to ask for help, but having 4 kids and one going to another hospital possibly out of state and not knowing how long I am looking to raise money for this month's bills and travel to and from where ever he gets sent. I am at a loss at this point. I don't want to look my home, but I also don't want to leave my kid alone in an out of state hospital so I can work. We have no family near by and the family we do have contact with cannot help as it is.

Cayden is now doing online public school at work with me so I can monitor food intake and do feeds if need be. We are struggling to find a good way for him to sleep inclined and stay inclined through out the whole 10 hour feed overnight, but I know we will figure it out soon enough. He is getting more comfortable with the feeding tube and has even asked to learn how to set it up himself so he can do it at night and I won't have to rush home after work to do it. Tonight I watched him do everything, but I walked him through certain steps if he forgot. He did really well. We have all of his stuff set up in a certain place so everything is easy to find and easily accessible.

Please keep sharing our fundraiser. We still have appointment to attend with means more missed work. We appreciate everyone who has shared and/or donated and those who have continued to follow Cayden's story & those who have reached out to see how he is doing. 🩵

We have been home for 4 days now. He hasn't finished any meals, but he is staying hydrated and the feeds at night are definitely helping with his energy. He has many appointments coming up in-person and telehealth which means more missed work. Please keep sharing! The more shares the better. We appreciate all the support we have gotten so far! ❤️

Cayden was released around 10pm last night. We arrived home around 3:30/4am. Today he had am appointment woth his primary care provider about everything over the last week. She was still waiting on reports from Children's Hospital. She sent in a referral to someone local for eating therapy. He has a telehealth appointment with the nutrition team from Colorado on the 29th. The last 8 days have been a lot and I am mentally drained. I spent today making appointments and running errands and tomorrow will be pretty much the same thing.

Cayden is being discharged! They are getting discharge stuff finished up and then we should be able to leave. He still has a long way to go, but at least he will be home!

Good morning everybody, Cayden is improving. We did his training on his feeding pump this morning. His supplies will be delivered today so they will be here and ready whenever we get discharged. Right now he is doing 3 protein shakes per day with his meals and a continuous feeds from his NG tube over night for 10 hours. That could change if he stops drinking the protein shakes or isn't eating enough of his meals. As of right now we do not have a discharge date, but hopefully we will find one out today. 🙏
