A U.S. federal judge has blocked part of President Trump's executive order barring citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for the next 90 days.
The ruling was made after the American Civil Liberties Union brought a challenge on behalf of two Iraqis detained at JFK airport on Friday night. It came hours after Trump issued his executive order at the White House, banning entry to people from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia.
The ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project is dedicated to expanding and enforcing the civil liberties and civil rights of immigrants and to combating public and private discrimination against them.
