UPDATE ON JUDE
Mark and family continue to be very grateful for all the support he has received in the form of prayers, supportive words of encouragement, and financial support. We would like to update you all on Jude’s current condition.
Unfortunately, as expected, Jude’s condition has gone from bad to worse. The paralyzation he has endured due to the rapid growth of the tumors have affected the lower half of his body leaving him bedridden along with needing extra care. With the growing tumors his right arm is now affected, and he has lost his ability to use it. That has taken away one of his few remaining joys in this life, his video games. Along with the paralyses, he is also experiencing a great deal of pain. He is on a pain medication regiment which includes gabapentin, methadone, and morphine. This has left him very little in life other than eating and sleeping. Thankfully, the heavy doses of pain medication make sleeping possible. As a side effect from the increase in medication he needs to be closely monitored at all times.
All of this has left Mark in a terrible fix. He needs to be at work to support his family, but he also needs to be with Jude at the same time. Jude needs full time care now, and Jude loves his dad. There is no one else in the world that Jude would rather have taking care of him other than close family who knows his needs. He wants his dad there ALL the time as well as Mark is wanting and needs to be with his son. It is unknown how long Jude will remain with us before going to be with Jesus in heaven, where he will be able to walk again. Not just walk, he’ll be able to run, and skip pain free along the streets of gold. Based on the signs the nurse has been observing it does not look like that will be long from now, but only God knows if that will be days or weeks before leaving behind a grieving family. But until then, he and Mark still have some struggles to go through before that time comes and Jude wants his dad to be his caregiver. Mark is honored by that, but it leaves him in a position in which he has to ask for even more support since he is now on leave from work. Prayers, encouragement, and financial support are greatly appreciated. But please, if you are not in a position to help financially, prayers for Judes comfort and a relief from pain are still greatly apprieciated.
