Many blessings,
My name is Tiffany Maltbie. 28 mother of 4. My second child and first daughter is Brooklynn Elaine. She will be 6 this October 8, 2023. Back on July 17, 2023 she would complain about an itchy sore on her leg. One look and my heart sank. A bloody blister, black in the middle. Just below her left knee. A melanoma, I was sure. August 1 her dermatologist would treat it with a wart medication, though she couldn't tell me what kind of wart it was. 2 weeks later it's not gone like they promised. They try to retreat it the same way. I demanded a biopsy. 2 weeks LATER they broke my heart. Atypical Spitz nevus. In other words, cancerous cells actively developing into melanoma. I called Arnold Palmer Pediatric Oncology and Hematology and they rushed her in right away. On September 8, she underwent a double sedation surgery. They removed 2 lymph nodes from her groin to test for melanocytes(or cancer cells) and the residual as well as surrounding tissue from her leg. I lost my job after they refused to give me the day of her surgery off, and I went anyways. I poured 3800$ into her treatment. I am in debt 1500$. I owe it on the rent for the tiny home we bought and put together 2 years ago. I am reaching out for a hand. Something I wish I didn't have to do. I have been trying to wash cars, clean houses, bathe pets, babysit, anything but nothing is coming through. If you feel compelled to give, we would be so grateful and blessed by you. God bless you all. Thank you.
