Jillian suffered extensive damage, including lacerations to her face requiring reconstructive surgery, and severe nerve and tendon damage to her hands, arms, and fingers. She currently has a skin graft covering the wound on her face, acting as a sling for her eye as well so it doesn't droop, but this is only a temporary solution. Jillian has already undergone two emergency surgeries, with many more—including specialized plastic surgery and physical therapy—expected in the coming months. She is also struggling with the immense trauma of this experience, both physically and emotionally.
We are looking to raise funds to help alleviate the crushing financial burden this has placed on Jillian and our family. The money will go directly toward immediate, uncovered medical expenses, multiple upcoming reconstructive surgeries for her face, arm, and hand function, physical and occupational therapy to regain use of her hand, fingers, and arm, extensive counseling for trauma, and living expenses, as Jillian will be unable to work for the foreseeable future.
