⭐️MY BIRTHDAY WISH!⭐️
🙏🏻 I have had many cancer support systems this last year of my life. My family & friends.
🇧🇷 BUT… I had another from a person and community that fed my body and soul in its healing process from a hard 🦋 ..metamorphosis through cancer and more.
♥️…an incredible community that was a “ safe space” for me to bring my, at the time, very sick body, and be just as I was without feeling “ less than”. All this while rebuilding my capoeira skills. There were times it took all I had just hold my body up. And here, I had the space to just “ be”.
🇧🇷 ⭐️ 🤸🏿♀️ This was/is Capoeira Austin and Mestre Pinga Fogo.
💪🏽 💪🏻💪🏿I want to do everything in my power to support the groups upcoming cultural event
🇧🇷” FESTA DE CAPOEIRA”
🇧🇷…This event will showcase, , through capoeira, the rich history of capoeira, music, movement, and so much more.
🇧🇷…bring in Mestres and Mestras from around the world and country
🇧🇷…offering workshops and performances
🇧🇷finally… honor the students/Alunas that have worked so hard the whole year with a belt ceremony.
🙏🏻🇧🇷🫶🏻Help me GIVE BACK to a community that has not only supported me, but that supports keeping Austin diverse and rich in culture, bringing the best capoeira possible to Austin.
🎈For my birthday, I want to raise 1,000$ for this cultural event taking place in Austin. And to a community that transforms so many people’s lives.
