I never wanted to ever find myself in another situation needing help.
But time is running out. My family has been battling covid since August.
August 18 my 7 year old was sent home from school with very mild cold like symptoms with in 2 days her and my 9 year old were sick.
We did a home test and it was positive. I was next then my husband and it is all down hill from there.
I'm self employed as a nail tech so as we know there is no covid pay relief for self employed individuals.
My husband was already on medical leave due to neck surgury so we used what was left in our savings to pay September's rent and utilities.
I go back to work October 18 and my husband will be starting his job at ups sometime this month. He has been Donating plasma so we can put gas to get kids to and from school and food since I have yet to be approved for food assistance.
All I'm worried about is our rent being paid.
I have applied for leecares which my application is still being processed, a d other local service agencies don't ha e the means to help.
