Hello. This is the first time I've asked for anything. I'm 51 and unable to work. I'm a mechanic by trade. I can't work any labor jobs. In Oct 2023 I got back surgery on my lower back (disk replacement). It seemed it worked. It hurts a lot less. But two days after my release from the hospital I got a severe blood clot in my left leg. I went back into the hospital. That happened another 3 times. And now I'm prone to get them again. I went back to work as a but struggled to be a part of the shop. My employer was very patient and gave me a chance. But I failed to keep up with production. Now as of December of last year I applied for Social security disability. But that takes a long time (9 or 10 months). And just last month I had an accident on my motorcycle and fractured my left tibia close to my knee. I'm not asking for much just a bit of help to get my car reregistered and some cash for living. I currently live with my mom. She is helping me as much as possible. She lives on SSI and my late father's military pension. I don't want to make my mom's life harder. So I'm asking for a small bit of help. It makes me feel bad to ask anyone for financial help. But I'm desperate. I don't want to be on the streets because the government is slow to help. Thank you if you read this completely. I always pay it forward when I can.
