I never imagined I would be in this position.
Just a short time ago, I was working hard every day, doing everything I could to provide for my children. Then I lost my job. I tried to hold everything together, but without a steady income, the bills piled up, rent became impossible to pay, and eventually we lost the place we called home.
Now, I am homeless with my four beautiful children, ages 7, 4, 3, and 9 months old. Every day is a struggle to figure out where we’ll sleep, how I’ll feed them, and how to keep them safe. As a mother, there is no greater pain than watching your children ask for things you simply cannot provide.
My oldest tries to be brave, but I can see the worry in their eyes. My younger children don’t fully understand why we don’t have a home anymore. My 9-month-old depends on me for everything, and every day I pray that I can find enough food, diapers, and a safe place for my baby to rest.
Some nights feel endless. I lie awake worrying about tomorrow while trying to stay strong for my children. No parent wants their children to experience homelessness, but I refuse to give up. I continue searching for work and doing everything I can to rebuild our lives.
I’m reaching out because I can’t do this alone. Any support you can give will go directly toward helping us find safe shelter, food, diapers, clothing, transportation, and the basic necessities we need while I work to get back on my feet.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing our story means more than you know. Every act of kindness brings us closer to a fresh start.
Thank you for believing in us, for your compassion, and for giving my children hope during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives. I promise to keep fighting for them every single day.
