Hello,
What do chickens and children have to do with bringing a soldier home? Well, those are my twin toddlers, and in a perfect world those would be my chickens in my yard that they get to play in. I joined the military at the age of 17 the weekend of the September 11th terrorist attacks. I wanted nothing more than to defend my country, and ensure my home and the home of all my fellow Americans would be safe. I served in Turkey, Kuwait , and Iraq. Fast forward to 2024 I am 100% service connected disability. Serving my country left me with many scars physically and mentally. My dream has been do you have a home to finally live in peace. Although I do have and I'm thankful for veterans home loans, I have found that without extra money towards a down payment the competition is just too much for the amount I qualify for. My goal is to raise $50,000 to include in my down payment. I am a simple country girl who was raised on a farm. My family farm no longer exists. I would love nothing more than to finally have a home to come to permanently. My long-term goal is to start a non-profit to help other soldiers and their quest to come to their dream home.
