Help a First‑Generation Mom of Three Finish Her Degree at ASU

My name is Racine, and I’m a single mother of three, a first‑generation college student, and a senior at Arizona State University pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership. I am just 9 credits away from graduating—something I’ve worked toward for years while balancing motherhood, full‑time work, and school.

I’m so close to the finish line, but I’ve hit a financial barrier that I can’t overcome alone.

Why I’m Asking for Help

To register for my final classes and complete my degree, I need to pay down a $15,000 tuition balance. As a single mom supporting my family on one income, every dollar goes toward rent, childcare, food, and basic needs. Despite working hard and budgeting carefully, I simply cannot cover this balance on my own.

I’ve come too far to stop now, and I’m asking for help so I can cross the finish line—not just for me, but for my children, who have watched me study late at night, write papers on my lunch breaks, and push through every obstacle.

What This Degree Means

Finishing my degree will allow me to:

• Increase my earning potential
• Build long‑term stability for my children
• Step into leadership roles that reflect my passion and experience
• Break generational barriers as the first in my family to earn a college degree

This isn’t just about a diploma—it’s about changing the trajectory of our lives.

How Your Support Helps

Every contribution, no matter the size, goes directly toward paying down my ASU balance so I can enroll in my final 9 credits and graduate. Your support brings me one step closer to walking across that stage and showing my kids what perseverance looks like.

From My Heart

Asking for help isn’t easy, but I believe in the power of community and in the idea that we rise by lifting others. If you’re able to donate or share my story, it would mean more than I can express.

Thank you for believing in me, supporting my journey, and helping me finish what I started.

With Gratitude, Racine
