Hi! We are starting this fundraiser for our dear friends, Jean & Matt Ellis and their two teenagers, one whom is on the Autism spectrum. They are in desperate need of your help!
On March 19th, Jean experienced her first severe neuralgia attack. Matt left work immediately and took his wife to the Emergency Room.
Jean was diagnosed with a Severe Neurological Plexus Disorder with Intractable neuralgia.
Rendering this once vibrant, 34 year old, mother & wife bedridden. Jean is unable to make it through a single day without numerous debilitating attacks.
After 9 months of Jean suffering from excruciating neuropathic pain filled days. Somehow, the Ellis Family has been able to endure keep fighting, looking for relief for her condition, and has left no stone unturned in seeking the best medical care possible for Jean.
Jean has been seen by 10+ doctors, 20 failed medications, & countless interventions.
Matt became his wife’s 24/7 care provider, and has been unable to return to work because she can no longer care for herself.
After completing a success (SCS)Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial
(6 day trial of a temporary implant)
Jean, Matt & the kids celebrated.
6 days of relief!
Then the device was removed.
Plummeting Jean back into pain.
The neurosurgeon submitted for approval the procedure for the permanent placement of an implanted medical device, and to their shock, it was Denied.
The same Insurance company that approved the temporary trial for the SCS, is now completely Denying coverage for the surgery.
In order for Jean to live a normal life without pain; she needs this surgery.
Matt needs his wife back.
The kids need their mother back.
To help pay for Jean’s medical expenses:
We would like to raise $50,000
