It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry William Stewart II, better known as Goldie. He was 76 years old at the time of passing and passed away on November 25, 2025 in the Gardens of Gettysburg assisted living facility.
Henry was born in Portland, Jamaica. When Henry left Jamaica for the first time he was only 20 years old and lived and worked in Connecticut for a bit. He then moved on to Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Goldie resided in Gettysburg, Pa for over twenty years and is somewhat of a legend here. He is known by everyone for his charismatic kindness and full of life energy.
He worked as a mechanic for the majority of his life and genuinely loved cars; foreign domestic and always a good classic. He enjoyed music, boxing, soccer, documentaries, riding his bike and most of all, people. He was well known and loved by so many. His accent, great smile, genuine nature and caring demeanor will be remembered always.
He was the youngest of five siblings all who predeceased him. He is survived by his 5 children; Ricardo Williams, Kisha Hill, Henry Stewart III, Anaka Stewart and Zuri Stewart and was predeceased by two daughters; Avalon (Karen) Stewart and Nadine Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, any contributions to help Goldie’s family offset the cost of cremation and Celebration of Life are welcomed.
*Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7th from 1-5pm at Mama Ventura’s Lounge.
