Our Lucas was hospitalized on March 20th due to a massive febrile seizure that led to airway instability. He was admitted to the PICU for 3 days, put on a ventilator, and had multiple tests and procedures performed. This was a very unexpected event with many medications and stressors put on his body. We have unfortunately, took a few steps back in his healing journey and are needing to add more travel to his neurology team in Texas and add in extra therapy sessions. With this, comes much more increased out of pocket expenses.
Many have reached out to help so we decided to start a spotfund to assist with this set back and further Lucas's healing. Please if you can not donate, we ask for prayers always. This is a marathon for our little boy diagnosed with PCH type 2a and prayers are always welcome.
Thank you to all that have supported our Lucas. He is getting better but it has been a journey since the hospital for his eye movements, swallowing and overall fatigue. We have Lucas going to a feeding specialist in June with this fundraising and praying he will start chewing food again. We also went to Austin to see his neurologist and EEG and MRI check was all clear.
