Life can change in an instant. Our family is living through the unthinkable after the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved sister, Maria, who was taken from us far too soon in a fatal car accident. We are heartbroken and still struggling to find our footing without her.
Maria was the kindest, most caring soul you could ever meetâa true mama bear at heart. She loved fiercely and protected those she cared about with everything she had. She was the best TĂa, Nina, daughter, and sister, and her love filled every room she entered. To know Maria was to feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.
As we grieve her loss, our family is also facing overwhelming challenges. We are raising funds to help cover Mariaâs funeral and celebration of life expenses, and to support my dad as he steps away from work to care for my mom, who is beginning a long healing journey after sustaining extensive injuries in the same accident. Right now, our parents need the time and space to grieve, heal, and be there for one another without the added weight of financial stress.
