Hey everyone my name is Crystal, my husband Scott has been the best father to my daughter Claire. He is actually her stepdad but she knows him as her dad in 2017 my ex-husband, her biological father, decided to not have anything to do with her anymore he did not want to take the responsibility I guess. She was heartbroken at 3 years old so my husband now stepped in, and has not left her side any. Because of my husband she knows what a good father is! Her favorite things to do with him is work on his car and hunting. I could not be more grateful and blessed. She loves him with all her heart and as does he. We have been trying to get my ex-husband to sign the adoption papers but he refuses we've already paid $1,500 to the lawyer but because we do not know exactly where he is we are having to pay more than expected to the lawyer. My husband wants to adopt Claire he is just amazing with our daughters. Claire asks me all the time "When will I have my daddy's last name?" It is heartbreaking telling her that I do not know but it will happen. She wants her last name to be the same as her dad's her little sister and me her mom. I have not told my husband that I am doing this I do not want him nor my daughter to be heartbroken if this does not work out, so when it does work out and I have faith it will I can surprise them both with the papers and the money needed.
