Hey everyone,
As you know, Bill had a grade 4 brain tumor removed the 11th of June. Unfortunately that pathology came back as a terminal diagnosis and we are beyond devastated. As parents of two very young girls, this news was not received well. There have been long days of a whole lot of tears, a lot of explaining to the 4 year old in an effort to keep her calm as she’s still reeling from other family losses recently and we don’t want her young brain to make those comparisons. Though she is anyway and that’s hard to navigate at her age. And we know many more discussions are on their way as he starts chemo and radiation and extra meds.
We are looking at trial options through Henry Ford to grant him as much time as possible with his girls but a great deal of the medications and treatment options are not covered by insurance and will be out of pocket expenses. And all while he is off work making it twice as challenging. We are hopeful, that with the right treatments and the right path he will be able to have a lot of good days and even years with his girls remaining!
We are so grateful for all your prayers and meals and support in this way. It truly means the world to us as this journey is not easy and full of emotional and mentally draining days, let alone the physical battle Bill is on. As we traverse this road, we appreciate all of you coming along side us in support and prayer and if you feel so led to help and gift us with the medical side of things we are extremely grateful for that as well! Cancer sucks! There’s no getting around that fact. But we are hoping to kick the suckage down the road a bit!!
We’ve chosen this gifting platform to decrease the fees taken out of the gifts that is associated with others, but if you are more comfortable reaching out directly by Venmo please let us know. Thank you again!
