Help Crystal Heal: A Life of Giving, Now in Need
A woman who has dedicated her life to helping children is now in the fight of her life.
Crystal was visiting family in California when she developed sudden and severe abdominal pain. She underwent emergency surgery, but unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved. Soon after, she developed sepsis and is now in the ICU, battling multi-organ failure. Her condition is critical, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult—but she is fighting with everything she has.
Crystal is one of the kindest, most selfless people many of us have ever known. Years ago, she left her job in insurance to open her home and heart to foster children. Since then, she has cared for countless kids during the most vulnerable moments in their lives—offering not only shelter, but love, stability, and the feeling of family. Whether it was baking cookies with a nervous 5-year-old or comforting a preteen in crisis, Crystal made every child feel safe, seen, and cherished.
Now, Crystal and her family need our help.
She will remain in the ICU and hospital for days to come, followed by an extended rehabilitation process. During this time, she will be unable to work, and her devoted husband, Atticus, will need to stay by her side as caregiver. The medical expenses, combined with lost income, are quickly adding up.
