Since before Vivian was born, there wasn’t a single day that was promised.
I have known for years that she would need a heart transplant one day. About two years ago the decision was made to transition her cardiac care to Pittsburgh as a “just incase” scenario. I had no idea that this day would be here so soon, but Vivian's body has been telling us that it is time.
Vivian was officially listed for a heart transplant in the middle of March. Thankfully she can wait for a new heart while being at home. But this also means trips for follow ups back and forth while she waits. This will also mean that when I get the call, we have to drop everything and go. I am anticipating being in Pittsburgh for 2 months as a best case scenario. After her recently hospital stay locally, I realized how challenging the separation is going to be financially. Maintaining everything in Ohio, while being in Pittsburgh is going to be a lot.
I have been grateful for all the prayers, well wishes and support. I have shown Vivian all the comments and posts. She knows that she is being supported, so thank you.
