My friends, for many years, I have staked an interest in helping my fellow man through life-threatening events in their lives. I spent 6 years in Afghanistan as a contractor with the U.S. Army, leading the team clearing airfields of hazards for Operation Enduring Freedom, Recovering damaged aircraft and vehicles from Bagram Airfield and maintaining the airfield surfaces to be free of weather, enemy fire, stray animals and other hazards. As a Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter and EMT, I was also trained to save personnel and equipment when the occasional accident occurred. I continued in this field when I returned home to Alaska in the Bush, the Grand Canyon and at Balad Air Base, Iraq. During this time, I learned that prevention was a far stronger remedy then even the very best, well equipped rapid response.
After a minor accident with another vehicle in which the other driver was at fault texting and driving, I had an idea about how to prevent texting and driving altogether with TextSafe, a smart phone app that prevents and reports texting and driving to the user. I spent the last three years developing the app, only to have the developer go bankrupt before my app was transferred to me, and where it still remains with Apple App Store, ownerless and unpublished while I have a working prototype that I cannot share with the potential to make everyone that texts or drives safer. TextSafe is a completed product, and I my intention is to hire another app developer that can finish the original TextSafe app and add it to other smartphone platforms such as Android, Honor, Apple and any other platforms that arise. I have already invested $30,000 and over three years in this effort, and could really use your help making this endeavor a reality. I am holding out hope that Apple will return the TextSafe app to my name so I can publish it and help deter texting and driving immediately, but I prefer to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I plan to charge $2.95 a month, a low fee for something that can save many from injury or death. I pay $9.95 a month for a FAX app! Please help me bring this excellent tool that can save countless people from texting and driving or distracted driving accidents, injuries and deaths. Thank you for your kind attention. -Jay W Knight
