In 2019 I started experiencing numbness in my hands and feet and after 9 months of seeing specialist after specialist no one could give me any answers or tell me what was causing my pain or discomfort. It wasn’t until November 8, 2020 I was rushed and admitted to the hospital with stroke like symptoms I had a lumbar puncture procedure done. The findings came as a shock that I had Multiple Sclerosis. As you can imagine I was shocked, confused and frustrated being told this news. Multiple Sclerosis or M.S. was something I never heard of or even imagined a diagnosis I was prepared to accept. I went straight to work trying to learn and educate myself about this uncurable disease. Since my diagnosis I’ve had surgeries on my spine, some vision issues, weakness in my legs, arms, and loss or limited use of hands and feet. But through out my journey I’ve learned that I can’t fight this battle alone and that my faith in God and the support of my family and friends keep me strong. I’m asking for help to spread awareness and fund research to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. I may have M.S. but M.S. doesn’t have me! #MSstrong #MultipleSclerosisAwareness #CureMS
