OMA: Nourishing Seaweed soup
My name is Yondjé, I’m French Korean and grew up loving my mum's Korean soup that is warm, comfy and delicious. Now that I live in a hectic NY life, I still wanted to enjoy the taste of home made, with conveniency. That is why I’ve decided to create OMA: A Natural Seaweed soup, called Miyeok guk, that is ready to eat, just add water!
Packed with great nutrients, it brings many health benefits.
Hence, Koreans love this very traditional soup, especially for women after giving birth during post partum, to promote a fast recovery.
OMA means mother in Korean. What is better than mum food?
Broth is a huge part of Korean culture (Netflix even has a Nation of Broth show ;) so think of the endless delicious broth flavor possible!
Use case from healthy food, ready-to-eat, quick meal, backpacker in need of light food, post-partum, hotel room, hospital, company MK etc.
How the fundraise will be used?
As I am visiting my manufacturer in Korea next month, the funds will be used towards:
- Down payment for minimum order for first products
- Fund product development to enhance recipe and R&D to create for a vegetarian option
- OMA Packaging creation with a manufacturer

- Launch Target: September 2024 (highest birth month, winter launch for broth, recess, recovery, detox).
- April 2025: First round of fund raising.
