***Update***
Did not see this coming, not the soon anyway. Like many federal employees, I'm not sure what to expect. I don't know if I'll walk into work and be laid off tomorrow. I'm not out of my probationary period yet, so I would be among the first to go.

I need help with February rent stat. My landlord texted at 11 pm cursing at me (I know...) and I have to have rent right away. I can't lose this place, and I'm pretty scared about what is going on at work (federal employee).
Thanks so much!

Missouri didn't pass Medicaid expansion, and without warning or notification, my Medicaid was cut. And even though I signed up for insurance through my new job last year, something wasn't done correctly, so now I have no insurance.
I have asthma and long COVID, and over the holidays, I was sick with pneumonia. I used up what PTO I had but the rest was unpaid leave. I spent a lot of money on doctors and medications.
On top of that, the ride-share service I use to get to and from work was cut on January 1, as was the bus route to get there.
I've been doing okay with being able to pick up my meds, but at the start of the year, prices changed dramatically. One med that I've been on for 11 years is now $1,100. Orders are several hundred dollars.
I need help with rent (I moved in last summer after living in a tent) and medical expenses until I can get insurance taken care of and to get caught up so I don't lose my home.
Thank you so much!
