Holley has been working as a social activist in various capacities over her lifespan. Now, in 2026, she finds herself in the Pacific Northwest visiting detainees and documenting the actions at the Tacoma Detention Center. The stories she has heard of strength being called upon and needs arising are ones you may never know unless you know Holley. Or unless you know others in similar situations.
Holley is not doing this work of safeguarding rights, offering comfort and hope alone.
A flow of funds to pay for the detainees to be able to communicate with families, buy food in the commissary and provide the legal help detainees be released is greatly needed.
