Pelilu Aloisia Wines, age 17, of Poulsbo, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2026. Born on February 11, 2009, at home in Poulsbo to Kaleen Steinke and Robert Wines, she was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Growing up, she attended Grant Street Elementary in Port Townsend, Poulsbo Elementary, West Sound Academy in Poulsbo, North Kitsap High School, and most recently, OCEAN in the Port Townsend School District. She is loved by so many and was known for her bright spirit, high intelligence, artistic talent, sense of humor, love of animals and kindness. She had a sharp wit, loved puns, and was actively involved in writing, reading, going for walks with her dog, walking on the beach, and spoiling her cats and chickens. She volunteered as an art docent for several years and won many art awards throughout her school career. Her art won first place repeatedly at the Kitsap County Fair and she was a regional winner at the State Superintendent’s Art Show. She will be forever missed by her parents, Kaleen and Rob, her sister, Tütlalee Wines, her grandmother, Elena Steinke, her godparents, Sarah Rubenstein and Joseph Carmonio, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kurt Steinke. The family asks for privacy while they are grieving and is not accepting phone calls, texts and visits at this time. Cards can be sent to or dropped off at the following schools:

OCEAN

3939 San Juan Ave,

Port Townsend, WA 98368

Vinland Elementary

22104 Rhododendron Lane NW

Poulsbo, WA 98370

Funds raised will help the family with funeral and memorial costs and provide support for their family during this time of unimaginable loss, allowing them the space and time they need to grieve and be together.
