Rob is a talented tile-setter, builder and artist. We have recently moved to Northern California where we were just starting to get our feet under us when a routine physical presented some complications and a stress test was ordered. The stress test occurred about 2 weeks before Christmas and Rob didn't pass the test! He was told he may very well be in the hospital before Christmas!  His  Cardiologist told him he would need an angiogram ASAP, to determine if he had blockages in his arteries and to what level they may be blocked.  The angiogram was scheduled for Dec 26 at 11:00am.   What was expected to be exploratory with a possible stent, turned into open-heart surgery (a double cardio by-pass!) to be done immediately! They kept him overnight and began the procedure at 7:00am the next morning!

When we initially thought he may need a stent that would have kept him out of work for a week. Now the recovery time is 3 months including not lifting anything over 5 lbs for most of that time. Needless to say, this has shut his business down cold! We need help meeting basic on-going expenses as we now only have minimal income. This whole thing has been a shock and is more than a little scary.  Any and all donations are gratefully appreciated!

Rob is recovering well, but 3 months is a long time! We are certain Divine Intervention was at play here as he apparently narrowly avoided a catastrophic heart attack. We are beyond grateful to the medical team who took immediate action. But now we need to keep the lights on and support our household. Your kind donations are most appreciated.

Thank you, Rob & Regina

Remarkably it has been over a year (Dec 27, 2025) since Rob had his open-heart surgery/double bypass which he recovered from quite well. Then he started receiving sciatica pain about a month into his recovery and after much testing and many doctors’ visits, he discovered he has Prostate cancer ( unbalanced cells). He has been in treatment for this since May! We are covering all the bases in terms of treatment including supplements, diet improvement, energy healing, prayers etc.… And we want to Thank You again for your tremendous love and support.

Rob is scheduled to have surgery on Tues Jan 20. The prostate cancer is encroaching on the bladder and surgery is needed to relieve the pressure. We also just learned there are new lesions on the bone, waiting for more info. This has been quite the journey, and more than a little bit scary—it’s already been stressful to say the least!

We are asking for your love, prayers and if possible, donations, to help us get through this next surgery and recovery. If you know of others who would like to donate please share this link. This has been one crazy roller coaster ride. We have faith Rob will be pain free very soon. We are grateful for your support in all ways. Much Love, Rob & Regina

3-13-25 Update on Rob’s Recovery

Rob has been doing well with his heart surgery recovery. He has just started Cardio Rehab this past week. However, he has had a few other issues come up. One is a staph infection which is being cleared up, the other is Sciatica. This has become extremely painful and at times debilitating. He has been to a chiropractor, his regular doctor and a specialist, and has had several x-rays and is scheduled for an MRI soon. We are receiving and trying various solutions as this has been keeping him up at night and now, he needs to walk with a cane.

The specialist thought he may be able to receive a cortisone shot in his back, but it conflicts with his heart medicine that he needs to take for 6 months. Cardio Rehab says walking 20 minutes a day will help (and he needs to build up to that level) and he also received a recommendation for orthotics which he is trying out now. Fortunately, the specialist prescribed Gabapentin, and this is helping him sleep which he needed but not doing a lot for the pain yet.

To our surprise his health issues continue but we feel confident that solutions will continue come for this Sciatica pain as well. His x-rays show degeneration on the spine.

We continue to be open to all solutions and appreciate your continued support, love and prayers during this trying time. We are grateful beyond measure for your kindness.

Much Love,

Rob & Regina

Rob has successfully completed his one month check up after his heart surgery! He has lost over 20 lbs which he  is gaining back very slowly. His appetite and sense of taste is returning little by little. Things still taste strange because of the breathing tube that was in during surgery. His stamina is low and he is not sleeping well. An issue that may be sciatica has returned and he is in considerable pain with his left hip and knee, we are trying to find solutions for this.

Rob is an active guy and it is sometimes frustrating for him to not be as active as normal, because of his restriction on lifting and exerting. That said he is recovering steadily and can drive again. Cardio rehab should begin this month which will help him to rebuild his strength and ideally begin to regain some weight. We are happy he continues to improve a little everyday. This has been a long haul and we have a ways to go with his recovery. We are so very grateful for your thoughts, prayers and support. Much love, Rob & Regina
