Sovereign Waters was created to reconnect people with the rivers and lakes that shape our communities. For many, especially those who have historically been excluded from outdoor recreation, stepping into a kayak for the first time can feel both exciting and uncertain. Our work is about making that first step possible.
Through community paddling programs, youth wilderness experiences, and pool-to-river training, Sovereign Waters helps people build confidence, skills, and a relationship with the water.
Funds raised through this Spotfund will go directly toward gear, safety equipment, boat repairs, and supplies that allow these programs to happen safely.
