For the past 12 years, Lasite has lived with the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Over the years the disease has damaged his kidneys. Unfortunately his kidneys has led him into Stage 5 renal failure and we are now in search of a donor.
This journey has been long and bumpy but Lasite has never lost his faith in God and that a miracle is on the way. Lasite continues everyday to work, love and support his wife, family and whoever is in need in his community. His heart for helping others despite his own circumstances has led him to being such a beloved person that anyone you meet will share a story with you.
The recovery process after surgery takes approximately three months, requiring temporary accommodations near Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. This comes with significant financial strain for medical expenses, travel, and post-surgery care. Any financial support, big or small, would be deeply appreciated to help cover these essential costs.
He is a man with quiet leadership, humble character, and heart full of compassion. His willingness to be there for others is a hope for others to surround and support him.
