On October 4, 2023 appx 2:33p.m. The Owner Of The Getaway Spot (Dre' Wilson) was shot in the head in front of his building and rushed to the trauma unit of Harris Methodist Hospital of Fort Worth, where he survived and is recovering. However, weeks have past and this is now a time now where your support is needed more than ever, and not just for the obvious reasons of medical expenses, medicine, bills, and business expense that do not stop unfortunately.

In the community The Getaway Spot seeks to "still" finish establishing a fully- equipped television production facility here in Fort Worth, Texas on the eastside of town better known as the "Stop Six", "Eastwood", and "Poly" area.
We will "still" hold firm to our project as it aims to create a collaborative and inclusive environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and social impact by providing accessible and state-of-the-art facilities to filmmakers, media professionals, and community members.
We do "still" believe that the expansion of The Getaway Spot will have a positive impact on the media industry in Fort Worth and the local community.
Our vision is "still" to create a hub for media production that encourages collaboration and provides opportunities for local artists to showcase their talents.
