As many of you know on August 15th Jim became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest. The cause is still unknown and Jim is fighting for his life to say the least. Although there has been some progress made there is still a very long road to recovery ahead with a lot of unknown. My mother has spent day in and day out at the hospital right next to Jim. She’s currently only able to work part time so that she is able to be at the hospital with her husband as he’s gone through countless medical procedures. Not only is she spending all of her days and most of her nights at the hospital she has a 1 hour commute to and from home. My Mom is feeling the strain from financial burdens as their household lost basically two incomes at once. I feel that it is my responsibility as their daughter to help in any way that I can. If I could provide just one thing it would be to take the worries of money and expenses associated with Jim’s care and needs away so that they are able to focus solely on his recovery, health conditions and future that lies ahead.
