If you are reading this, count yourself blessed to have crossed paths with Lynne Sangster and/or Carol Cushing. You would be hard press to find two kinder, more loving people. If you have been in contact recently, you know the nearly unimaginable challenges they have faced in the last few years. If you have not, here are some statistics just from 2021:
Lynne:
2 brain surgeries
5 debridement surgeries
20 days of hyperbaric oxygen treatments
63 days in the hospital
97 doctor/clinical appointments
365 days of wound care
Carol:
Made EVERY appointment above happen. Every single one.
This not only takes her away from work, it also takes an untold amount of energy. Carol is at Lynne's side every step of the way, advocating for her and encouraging her. While she would have it no other way, the missed days of work have taken a toll on their finances.
On Monday, Lynne had the surgery they hope will put an end to her seizures (over 1,000 in the last four years). While they would never ask for assistance themselves, I'm reaching out on their behalf.
If you are in a position to assist financially in their time of need, I would be so grateful. Carol was out last week with Lynne and we anticipate next week being much the same. Lynne's recovery will take several months.
