Cherie White School Board District 1

Dear Families and Friends,

"Guided by my experience as a teacher and my heart as a parent to protect and empower our children."

I began my campaign for Martin County School Board District 1 with one goal in mind, to serve the students of Martin County. 

Born in Upstate New York and raised in Florida, I earned my degree from Indian River State College, where I majored in Elementary Education.  Throughout my career, I have held various positions in municipal and county government agencies. 
Guided by the values of integrity, transparency, empathy, and understanding, I am committed to building trust and fostering respectful collaboration across the district. 

Interest Statement:

My passion has always been to help others and serve as an advocate. Through my experience in municipal, and county government, I’ve developed a strong understanding of constituents’ needs and effective strategies for addressing challenges and driving positive change. I am eager to bring that same commitment to advocating for approximately 16,000 + students in the Martin County School System, ensuring equitable resources for all.  
My goal is to continue including school administration and teachers in policy making. I also want to look at ways to increase staff and social workers for disadvantaged students.
