I don’t like to ask people for money but the last few weeks have been exceptionally hard for my family, especially my mom. On 12/18/2023 my dad went by ambulance to the emergency room and later that day when my mom returned home to take care of her dogs she found one of them limp and very sick. She rushed her to the vet emergency when she had to ultimately make the very hard decision without her husband of almost 50 years to have her put to sleep. My father was hospitalized in the ER for several days before they finally moved him up to the ICU and intubated him. On 12/19/2023 he was life flighted to another hospital in hopes to have surgery there but ultimately lost his battle on 12/23/2023 and she again had to say goodbye to another best friend. It has been a struggle because my dad always took care of finances and we are working very hard to figure things out. A few days ago when we were at her house the furnace stopped working. We were able to get the blower going again but only for about 30 minutes. It is a 23 year old furnace that we were going to try to fix but no one has a part and even if we do we don’t know how much longer the furnace would last. We really need to have the furnace replaced and with such a loss of income and very limited funds I don’t know what else to do and am hoping to raise money to help her. Right now there is no heat in the house and it’s freezing.
