I hate asking for help or putting our information and life out there but we're in need of desperate help at the moment. Our landlords took us to court for non payment for October,  November, and now December but we had already applied for the covid relief program to pay past due rent but it won't be finished processing until the end of the month. During the court hearing,  once the judge was telling them they couldn't evict us due to nonpayment because of the hardships we've faced during covid, they brought up an eviction on our credit from like a year ago and said we didnt disclose that information to them and that was a violation of the lease. The judge ruled in their favor to evict us on the 28th. We've been calling all our community resources and looking for places since the day they said they were going to evict us. They gave us 10 days to move out. 3 days after Christmas. Salvation Army is out of funds until mid January. Community action isn't taking applications from today through the 3rd. I dont think the community of hope is open today or tomorrow and they're closed on the weekends. Our landlords only care about the money, not the struggles families are facing through covid.  They already listed the house for rent on the 4th or 5th of January which isn't even a week after we move out. We haven't given them any trouble in the whole time we've lived here. We've explained to them the situation but they just want their bills paid for them. We have 4 kids in the house and its terrible for them to have to be going through this during the holidays. So we're reaching out to you guys for help at this point. It's our only option. We're already in contact with legal aid to counter sue the landlords but the lawyer cant do anything until Monday. but we've already taken all the steps to try to rectify this in our power. Please help however you can and please share this if possible.
