Meet Mollie! One day after having our rescued Doberman, Luther euthanized for poor health, Mollie was shared on social media. They said they found her several months ago w a preexisting (right rear) hip injury. I quickly went and brought her home so she no longer had to be outside in their ‘small back yard’.
Today I took Mollie to our Vet (Middletown Indiana Middletown Vet Clinic). She weighed 95 pounds and received her Rabies vaccine. Dr wants x-rays but suspects her hip is out of the socket. His opinion is she needs surgery to remove the hip ball joint. He said without the surgery it is likely the one leg doing all the work can blow out causing even more problems and potentially leading to an early euthanasia.
It is thought she is about 3 years old. She is very active and loving. She knows sit, shake, lay down. She has been a PERFECT fit to my mourning heart.
