For my birthday, I am raising funds to give to CARECEN - Central American Refugee Center for immigrant families.
Legal representation is the single greatest factor in an immigrant’s ability to remain safely in the United States and CARECEN fights to ensure that Long Island’s immigrants have access to high quality counsel.
As a Black and Salvadoreña woman who has made a home and community in New York - learning about an org such as CARECEN that centers Central American immigrants, is important to me. Thank you to my friend Denia who put them on my radar.
