Help Woody Rebuild After a Devastating Fire
If you know Woody, chances are he's helped you diagnose or fix a car problem at some point. Now, he needs our help.
On the morning of Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Woody and his best friend—his dog Lincoln—took a quick trip to the coffee shop. On their way home, Woody saw smoke and flames in the air. His heart sank when he realized the fire wasn’t at a neighbor’s house—it was his own garage, engulfed in flames shooting over 20 feet high.
Firefighters responded quickly, but sadly, Woody’s garage and everything inside was a total loss. While we’re grateful that Woody, his partner Pernel, and Lincoln were unharmed, the damage was devastating. Among the losses was Woody’s beloved Levi’s AMC Denim Gremlin, a rare classic, along with his lifelong collection of tools, equipment, and parts—many of which are irreplaceable.
For Woody, cars are more than a hobby—they’re a lifelong passion. He grew up learning from his dad, grandfather, uncles, and friends in garages, work bays, and junkyards. From rebuilding engines to restoring classics, Woody has spent decades honing his skills and helping others keep their vehicles running. If you've ever called him with a weird car noise, you know how incredible his knowledge is—he can diagnose a problem over the phone with just a few questions!
Now, Woody needs our support to rebuild. The tools and equipment he lost were accumulated over a lifetime and weren’t cheap. If you can contribute, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Let’s help Woody get back to what he loves—fixing cars and lending a hand to all of us.
Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for your support!
