About 4-5 months ago, we noticed one of our fur babies, Jadah was starting to look like she was losing weight even though she was still eating and drinking normally. A few weeks passed and we started noticing that her belly looked bloated and she seemed to be breathing differently. She would still run and play when we'd go outside. She never whimpered or whined when I'd press around on her belly to feel for anything abnormal, she didn't seem to be in pain. About a month or so later there was no change and we had tried dewormer and heartworm and still no change. Instead we started noticing a wheezing with her breathing and her breathing itself had become more labored. JadahBaby is only 6 years old, her Mama, Nalah is about 9 or 10 and hasn't missed a meal or treat a day in her life it would appear. With Jadah's condition not seeming to be getting any better despite all the measures we had taken, from allergies to changing foods, to the worm meds just in case and after calling around all the surrounding towns, we finally found a vet that would work with us and give Jadah an exam for half of the cost up front and the other half plus potentially more depending on what was found during the exam. Cole took her in yesterday; they took blood and did a urinalysis, as well as x-rays on our little girl...Our worst fears were confirmed as the vet told him that our furbabe has cancer. She has fluid around her heart and her lungs. He then went on to say that he believed her to only have 2-4 weeks left before she would pass/have to have her put to sleep and cremate her.

This dog as been the best of a friend. Always there to comfort me when I was sad. Hogging attention from her mama. This girl is a diva and demands attention in the most adorable way. Loves cuddling and giving kisses. If I would stop giving her head and ear scratches to keep scrolling on my phone, she wedges her head under my arm, nose first to make me give her hugs and let her climb in my lap. She always waits for daddy and/or me at the door when he leaves and gets so excited when we return. Loves her hot dogs and cheese and dog treats that cole buys for them bit shes a princess so she will gently grab the food from our hand with just her front teeth lol Nalah on the other had, by this time has drool dripping and is ready to catch the goodies mid air...babygirl just brings joy to even the saddest days. Idk how Nalah will react when the time comes. And I know it's going to be hard on us, especially Cole. These dogs, for being pitbulls, ya know, the oh so mean and aggressive breed, have always been so loving and gentle with the kids. Never having bit anyone. Just lots of sloppy kisses.....How am I going to cope without my snuggle bug?! My thunder buddy...our JadahBaby... I've never had to deal with losing a dog before. A darn good dog to add to that. The right amount of protective and oh so obedient. She's become such a huge part of my life since meeting Cole; calling her one of the kiddos because she is not a pet, she's family. πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜πŸ’” I'm going to miss her trying gently to lay over my chest and give me kiss on my chin. Her army crawls in bed to get closer and wedge herself between Cole and I and syphoning love from both of us simutaneously and then together all at once....her always having to be the first one in or out of the door. And all the times I felt like she was getting overbearing wanting so much attention and smothering me with kisses wanting more and more lovins'....to take them all back and let her get her fill, I wish. I need to find a way to Harlan to spend what time she has left with her and gonna stop at McD's and get a couple burgers for her to share with Nalah...I'm not ready. All money raised will go towards vets bills and cremation and memorializing this wonderful, loving, sweet baby girl.
