It's MISS AMERICA TIME PEOPLE! This is NOT a drill! In just a few short weeks, I'll be arriving at Mohegan Sun for the 100th Anniversary Miss America competition. If you'd like to support me for People's Choice, please show your support by donating to this campaign!
If you don't know me, hi I'm Sydney! I graduated from Columbia University in 2018 with a degree in American Studies. While there, I was the Head Manager of the Men's Basketball Team and served as the Editor-in-Chief of Columbia's yearbook "The Columbian." After graduation, I worked as a Litigation Legal Practice Assistant at Skadden, Arps, Slate, & Flom for a year before I began attending Fordham Law School at night while working as a business developent coordinator at Sullivan & Cromwell. After a year as an evening student, I transferred into the full-time program, in which I had the opportunity to TA for a first-year course called Legislation & Regulation, to work on the 7th highest ranked International Law journal, to intern in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court, and to serve as a board member on the Fordham Business & Law Association. This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a summer associate at BakerHostetler LLP, where I had the chance to work on a variety of legal matters, including several pro bono matters, and I am so excited to be returning to work at this firm after graduation! Now in my last year, I am excited to graduate and prepare for the bar exam next summer.
It’s time for America’s Choice! This is your chance to have your voice heard in who you think exemplifies the qualities of Miss America as a leader, servant, and role model for young women. This year we’re offering a $5,000 scholarship to the winner to help her advance her education and achieve her life and career goals.
To vote, click your favorite candidate below to go to her page. Each dollar donated equals 1 vote, so the candidate with the most donations will win the America’s Choice scholarship. In addition to the $5,000 scholarship, she will be recognized on-stage during the Preliminary Competition at Mohegan Sun in December.
Voting has no impact on placement in the Final Night Competition. As a 501(c)4 nonprofit under IRS regulations, all donations to The Miss America Organization are not tax-deductible.
