Luke Burgess was an incredible young man that had just graduated high school, finished his Eagle Scout project, and had huge dreams of his future. While driving to work in his cherished Mustang, he was in an auto accident and passed away instantly. This was in the fall of 2025. His birthday is February 22, and as we get closer to his Celebration of Life on his birthday, we are specifically raising funds to finish covering the cost of his incredible headstone.
The original cost was $7,850, and so far $7100 has been raised. If you could help us reach that goal, any extra funds would be given to Boy Scout Troop 125 where he became an Eagle Scout. All funds will be sent to the Navy Federal Credit Union temporary Account called “Luke Burgess Memorial.” Donations can also be made in person to any Navy Federal Credit Union in person until April. Thank you for sharing the love and for any donation if you are able.

We’ve reached more than enough for Cherokee HS Grad and Eagle Scout Luke Burgess’s headstone to be paid for and installed. Any additional funds that are donated between now and Feb 20th will be donated to Troop 125 at the Feb 22 Celebration of Life for Luke’s birthday.
