Hello! My name is India McGee. I am born & raised in Wilmington OH. I am a 2006 Hurricane Alumni. My children attend Wilmington City Schools. I am also the owner of The Key Soap, LLC.
Our city schools are just one of many communities on the map doing their best to teach and FEED our children. I would like to start this fund for our local children that have negative lunch account balances. I have previously spoken to the WCS Director of Food Services about compiling donations for delinquent accounts. I do not have a total monetary value needed to bring all accounts into good standing. I am setting this goal for $500 and hoping for the best love & support from our community. The donations received will be delivered to our food service director from “The Key Soap & Friends” for her to apply where needed for our children.
I had originally planned to start this fund through personal transactions with my small business, but I was unsure how to stay transparent of funds received. This platform will help us all easily view what is collected.
I would like to collect donations up until Halloween and then deliver as a treat! Our students and families will be forever grateful!
