Layla Risler is a 16 year old Wisconsin wrestler who is in need of funding to further her wrestling journey. She wrestles at the State and National level in both Folkstyle and Freestyle wrestling. Some of her accomplishments include, 8-time All-American Honors, Fargo All-American, 2-time member of the Wisconsin Women's National Team, 2-time Folkstyle State qualifier/place-winner, 3-time Freestyle State Champion, 2-time Most Valuable Wrestler of the Year - Conference, 2026 Academic All-State Recipient, and first Wisconsin high school women's wrestler to reach 50 wins in a season, just to name a few! Layla trains in Mondovi and travels to River Falls (almost a 3-hour round-trip) several days a week to work with Olympic level athletes and coaches. She has transitioned to online learning to accommodate a strict training schedule, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and progressing to college credit classes in just her sophomore year! Besides travel expenses accrued for training, Layla travels all over the country to compete at the National level, which requires significant personal costs (travel expenses, lodging, competition fees and gear, etc.). Some previous destinations include; Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Washington and the Olympic Training Center in Colorado. Layla works several odd jobs to help with expenses like detailing vehicles, working at Chippewa Valley Music Festivals, and as a dishwasher at Donna Mae's Café. With her training schedule it is difficult to maintain full-time employment, so any additional funding is greatly appreciated. Next stop in her journey is the US Marine Corps Junior and 16u National Championship in Fargo, ND!
