A Time For Everything

Prom is the perfect time to come together at the end of the school year, dress up, and have a night to talk about for the rest of your lives. For the 2021 prom her junior year, our oldest daughter, her boyfriend, and a couple friends went to Reynolda Gardens to take pictures then headed to the Salem prom at the baseball stadium. Upon arrival they took a couple pictures and sat down for dinner. After dinner, the school played the movie Ratatouille but since this didn’t appeal to everyone, many students left for home or went to an after party at a classmates house. Dancing was and is strictly discouraged by the school so it wasn’t a part of the night. πŸ˜”

This year for her senior prom my husband and I asked her what she thought about an option to go to a dance after dinner and she said “That would be amazing!“ So, we are having a dance this year!!!πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

As you can imagine having a dance isn’t free but since we came up with the idea we are hesitant to ask for help with it. Many students and parents however have asked how they can help and since the bulk of the expense is for the venue and the DJ, if anyone would like to help towards these expenses we can easily make this a wonderful night. πŸͺ©πŸŽΆ

The DJ is asking about $500, the venue is $300, and we anticipate about $100 to be spent on decor, water, and snacks. If we receive money over our goal, we will use it to make the event event more fun for the students (additional food/drinks and decorations). πŸŽ©πŸ‘—βœ¨

Additionally, my husband and I will be there, the owner of the event barn will be there, and any parents and/or teachers who support the effort are welcome to attend. We hope and pray this night will include excited faces, a wonderful dinner, dancing to great music, beautiful photos, safe returns home and unforgettable memories in all the best ways! 🌹
