We’re planting the seeds for something truly meaningful here in Connecticut — and we need your support to make it grow.
We’re building a nonprofit inclusive garden and café, a place where people of all abilities — especially individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities — can grow, learn, work, and thrive. Our goal is to raise $80,000 to bring this dream to life. This will be more than a café. It’s a movement rooted in equity, compassion, and inclusion.
At the heart of this project is a simple, powerful idea:
Everyone deserves the chance to grow — and be seen for their abilities.
Through a unique combination of urban gardening and a cozy community café, we will:
🌿 Provide hands-on training and jobs for people with disabilities
🥕 Grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs in a sustainable, inclusive garden
☕ Use the harvest to create fresh, affordable meals at our nonprofit café
💚 Reduce food waste and increase food access for local families
🌎 Build a community space where everyone feels welcome and valued
We’re creating a place where seeds and people can grow — together.
💸 Why We’re Raising $80,000
This campaign will help us secure a space, build accessible infrastructure, and launch programs that provide real-world job training, food justice, and community healing.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us plant a future filled with purpose.
Nearly 1 in 4 people in the U.S. has a disability — yet employment and food insecurity remain major barriers. Many want to work, grow food, connect with others — but lack the space and support.
This project gives them that space. That support. That chance.
When you support this campaign, you’re not just funding a café.
You’re creating:
✅ Inclusive job opportunities
✅ Accessible garden education
✅ Sustainable food systems
✅ A homegrown solution to hunger and unemployment
✅ A place where everyone — truly everyone is welcome.
