Hello,
I'm Carey, and I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt request on behalf of a family in desperate need. The Al-Najjar family from Gaza—mother Arwa, father Raja, and their three young children, Tia (4), Celia (3), and baby Ahmed (just 3 months old)—have been enduring unimaginable suffering for the past 11 months. Their lives have been shattered by relentless bombardments, leaving them with only a single bag of belongings in their struggle for survival.
Every day, Arwa and Raja witness the profound impact of this conflict on their children. Celia, who was only 2.5 years old when the bombings began, is grappling with severe psychological trauma and speech difficulties. The constant fear and displacement have stunted her development, and Tia and baby Ahmed are also suffering from the same daily terror. The relentless violence has stolen their innocence, leaving them fearful and confused.
The family endures extreme deprivation. Clean drinking water is a rare commodity in Gaza, and food is incredibly scarce. Arwa often collapses from exhaustion and hunger, finding it nearly impossible to comfort her children who do not understand why they cannot have the food they so desperately need. The shame and depression she feels, watching her children suffer in a world where she cannot protect them, are unbearable.
Their situation is dire. They are forced to move frequently, carrying only one bag of clothes each time. Basic necessities, such as personal hygiene, are a distant luxury. They bathe in contaminated saltwater, which damages their skin and hair, and raises the risk of infections. Baby Ahmed is particularly vulnerable, especially with the ongoing polio outbreak.
This is a life-or-death situation. Your support could make a profound difference. Every donation helps provide the essentials they desperately need and offers a glimmer of hope amid their suffering. If you cannot donate, please share this message with everyone you know. Your voice can help bring much-needed relief to this family in crisis.
**Update: Arwa's first fundraiser collected $1500 but the organizer send it to a wrong PayPal address apparently by mistake. So after she had stayed up nights making efforts to raise the money, it was all lost. Please help her and her family regain hope by donating. For their safety they want to make it out of Gaza. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your compassion.
Sincerely,
Carey, on behalf of the Al-Najjar Family
(I have verified Arwa's identity via video call. 100% will go straight into their bank accounts. If you have any questions, please reach out!)
